Creatures of the South
Last week, during the Jewish holidays because New York City schools were closed, my friend Gina came to visit me down in the Low Country. We spent one morning sitting on our new patio furniture, enjoying the outdoors, when we spotted this little friend.

Me: A New Bubba-ette
Welcome
My name is Leslie and I am becoming a bubba-ette. I'm writing this blog to tell my story...
Two years ago, I was leading the high-flying urban lifestyle of a single New York City based career woman living on the Upper East Side of New York. Just when everything seemed to be working, I met a Southern boy named Landon and fell in love. Love makes you do strange things. So, now I'm living in the Low Country of South Carolina, far away from a city and 35 minutes from a coffee shop. I am in culture shock.
I invite you to come here regularly to hear the sometimes funny, sometimes painful, always amusing stories of the transition from a single city girl to a married Southern bubba-ette.
